Terms of Service

Last updated: July 8, 2026

The service

DocumentPal lets you upload PDF documents and ask questions about them, answered by artificial intelligence. By using it you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

AI answers can be wrong

Answers are generated by AI and may contain errors or omissions, even with citations. They are not legal, medical, financial, or tax advice. Verify anything important against the original document and a qualified professional.

Your content

You keep all rights to documents you upload. You promise you have the right to upload them, and that you won't use the service for anything unlawful, to process content you aren't authorized to possess, or to attempt to abuse, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.

Accounts and plans

Free usage is limited (currently 10 questions for visitors, 30 a day with a free account). Premium offers unlimited questions for a monthly fee. You can cancel Premium anytime, no questions asked — it stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and is not renewed after that. You can delete your account at any time, which permanently removes your data.

Shared conversations

Sharing a conversation makes its transcript readable by anyone with the link. You are responsible for what you share; you can stop sharing at any time.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocumentPal's total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $20 if you paid nothing.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
